Thanks everyone for your phone calls...emails...you guys are so awesome...:)
I went out last night....and such a great time. It started late - we didn't meet until 9:30pm, but that was alright. We had all night... Met at Starbucks (of course)...even the one I work at. I'm sure I'll get some questions/comments/teasing tomorrow at work...ahh, what can you do? lol. I was impressed by his choice of coffee...it may sound shallow or weird, but it does matter...he didn't order some girlie drink - he knew what he was ordering too. He was comfortable in the store. This is a very good thing. I treated here - I felt it was only right! We sat outside and talked. We had planned on going to see a movie, but that never happened...we just kept talking. He'd impress me with his car knowledge as various cars drove by...I'd nod along "uh huh"ing and trying to pretend like I knew what he was talking about...he's too smart for that. He saw right through me. hehe. I did my best to impress him on my coffee knowledge, which I believe worked to a point, lol. After deciding that we were both getting chilly from sitting outside and that after an hour or so of talking at the coffee shop we should really go somewhere else, we headed to a local bar - one that neither of us had been to before. It was so nice there! I'll for sure have to go back there again. It was fairly loud in there though, so we were practically yelling at each other. lol. That's alright though, as long as we could somehow hear each other, that's all that mattered. We each had a couple of drinks (he paid of course...), and had a really good conversation...everything from the usual: music, family, school, friends - to the first time topics: religion, soulmates, our childhood....we covered such a vast area of intersts...it was awesome. He drove me home around 1am...we decided to head home after we'd both been yawning like crazy...I hear it's contagious ;) It was awfully sweet though...I said "I'll seeya Monday then..." and he replied, "if not before"....*sigh* I'll admit I had some doubts with this one...but now....they're not so slowly vanishing. He's off to Victoria in 2 months. I don't really want to think about that right now...right at the start of summer and everything. Oh well. He's going back to school, and that's a good thing. Well, I could go on and on about this all night...but I have to open at work tomorrow...so I must be off to bed. More on Sunday though. There's some people I haven't talked with for awhile now...who I'm sure are just dying for more details...*coughmegcough*...;) Happy Birthday to Cathy and Ashley too!!! xo ck |
