I'm starting to think that my life is normally crazy, and that it would be weird if insane things didn't just happen. Anyone else ever feel like this?
Trying to recall when I last wrote...and yes, I could look...okay fine. I'm going to look... LOTS has happened since I last wrote. Friday night, I went to Moxies for dinner with Alison - that was nice. I had a yummy chicken burger, lol. We had lots of leftover fries, and we were going to send them over to the table that my mom and a bunch of her coworkers were at...but we didn't. We totally should have though!! It was POURING outside too...omg. We went and picked up Katya and off to UBC we went. The UBC Orchestra was playing, and we were going to watch. Picked up some Swedish Berries on the way...hehe. They proved quite helpful during the show...it's such peaceful music...sometimes hard to stay awake...lol...:P The concert was great, had a good time...then...the three of us went to Bimini's. Oh how it was fun there ;) Alison was driving, so Katya and I drank. LMAO. Not even thaaat much, we each had 3 drinks...guess we didn't have super full stomachs though. The crazy things we do when intoxicated...hehe. I'll willingly tell guys that Katya thinks they're hot. I'll even give them her number...and doesn't complain. hahaha. Not that this happened or anything...hehe ;) After Bimini's we drove back home and picked up her brother and his friend. Did a Wendy's drive thru run and then everyone went home. Ahhh...quite the night! Slept in on Saturday...then got an interesting text message from Meg asking me if I wanted to come to Winnipeg the next weekend...WTF???? I wrote back of course wanting more details...so she said Di had won some contest and that Steph was thinking of coming out too...OH MY GOODNESS!!! Well, as Meg said "the hamster starts running faster and the wheel gets turning..." and HOLAY SHITE! AGM BABY!!! Hehehehe ;) I'm SO excited, not even funny! Anyway, back to how it all happened....well, the main part anyway, lol. Long story short, my Thanksgiving dinner at my aunt's was very short for me, and even during the time I was there - I wasn't 'really' there...I had Winnipeg on the brain, and kept messaging with the girls on if it was really happening and how it was going to happen. I do feel bad for not being there more on Thanksgiving...but everyone seemed to be doing okay. I'll be back there for a visit soon enough anyway :) Di got the plane ticket stuff sorted out and voila! I had return airfare to Winnipeg!!! I leave this Thursday evening, and come home Monday evening - EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! (You can check out Meg's site, the rclarity one, for more "OMGOMGOMG!!!" about this, hahaha). I left Thanksgiving dinner early (and even ate by myself..aww...:( ) to go to Richards on Richards with Katya. We went and saw Danny Michel and Luke Doucet - soooo awesome! Had a couple of drinks there (no strongbow though!) and when the show was over, we went and said hi to Danny, and told him what a big fan I am and what an awesome show it was. He's so cute and so sweet! Katya was hungry (and me too)...so we went for some food at Milestones. YUM! Then stopped for a to go drink at Starbucks and went home. Such a great night...:) Sletp in Sunday again, haha. BUT not as late as my mom and sister! They both woke up after 12pm!!! We had eggs, bacon and leftover mashed potato for breakfast...yummm...lmao. I worked that night...it was a fun shift - found out one of my new managers is into ALL the same music as me! Danny Michel, Hawksley Workman, Great Big Sea - crazyness!! She also wants to see the Town Pants sometime! Yay! Yesterday, "Happy Turkey Day!"...worked 1-9pm so I really didn't do much else. Pay and half though...SCORE! I managed to get 3/4 of my shifts at work covered for while I'm away though. Whew! One more to go...I'm not worried though. Stayed up too late last night studying for my midterm that I have tonight. Oh well... But I now just saw the time and I have a class in 15 minutes...so that's all for now! (and yes, I will write more about my crazy GBS weekend soon...) xo ck
